Q. What is hypnosis?

In between waking and sleeping is a level of consciousness known as trance . It is an altered state where our attention is focused on something other than our immediate environment. It is a completely natural state. Have you ever driven a car and not realized you have gone from A to B? Or watched a television program and afterwards cannot remember a thing about it? These are trance states. During hypnosis the unconscious part of our brain is in a more receptive and relaxed state and therefore hypnosis is an incredibly effective tool to target the unconscious in the most effective way to move you towards your solution. Hypnosis feels a bit like daydreaming, you are conscious of what’s going on around you but also can drift off into your own thoughts. Everyone experiences it differently. But it is always the right way for you. You cannot be made to do anything against your will, you are always in control. Afterwards you may be surprised at how relaxed you feel.

Q. How long are the sessions and how many will I need?

The sessions are about an hour long. Cognitive Hypnotherapists treats the individual and not the label we give to their issue, and because every one is different it can be difficult to ascertain how many sessions are needed. On average about three sessions, some issues need a bit longer. But my aim is to get you to your solution state in the shortest time possible. We will spend the first session discussing your issues and seeing how we can work together to make a difference in your life. I can then devise a personalized treatment plan for you. Also I shall introduce you to hypnotherapy so that you can begin to realize how relaxing and beneficial hypnosis can be.
I work from my comfortable and safe West London family home and of course everything discussed is completely confidential.
